CALL FOR PAPERS
The National Competition for young IT professionals is an event conducted annually, by CSI since 1999.
The competition aims at involving Young IT Professionals in the cause of Excellence in IT and provides
them with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, professional prowess and excellence in their
field of work.
A lot of path-breaking work in Information Technology today is being done by brilliant young IT
professionals, working with state-of-the-art tools, techniques and application in academics and industry.
Perhaps in no other area of enterprise has the contribution of the young been so rich and evident. In
recognition of this fact, CSI is proud to institute these awards for young achievers in the field of
information technology. The awards will be given to young people below the age of 30 who are
responsible for innovative work related to design, development and implementation in any segment of IT
industry. Special award has been instituted for Students. Awards include a trophy, certificate and a cash
award of Rs. 6,000, Rs. 4,500 and Rs. 2,500 for the 3 winners. Certificate is given to all participants.
Eligibility:
nBelow 30 years of age as on 30 June 2005
nTeam size of 1 to 3 max allowed
nPaper should reflect a specific achievement, innovation, and algorithm, value addition in the work
or
Project undertaken
nApplications should be supported by the organization to which the applicants are attached
nPapers should be original & not published prior to the event
Application Process:
1) Applications should be made in the prescribed registration form
2) All applications should be accompanied by the following:
a) 1 copy of detailed Paper typed on A4 size sheets
b) The paper should have Abstract, the project or method or algorithm, benefits of it, business
advantages accrued/expected, conclusion and bibliography.
c) A/c payee DD/ Cheque for registration fees favoring "Computer Society of India", payable at
Mumbi
3) Soft copy of the application and paper in MSWord format should be sent to ***@vsnl.net, and
copy to ***@yahoo.co.in
3) Applications, complete in all respects, should reach the address given below, by February 28, 2006.
4) Date for the event is March 18, 2006
5) Team cannot exceed 3 members
6) Registration Fee
nRs. 1,000/- per team
nRs. 750/- per teamfor CSImembers
nRs. 250/- per student team
nRs. 100/- per CSI student members
