Dear BLUGies,

This is my sincere request to you all. Miss
lectures, miss practicals and miss everything you had
planned for this weekend. Don't attend technical talks
if you dont want to. Dont attend install fests if you
dont want to.

But at any cost, and under any circumstances, DO
NOT miss the talks by the delegates. The previous mail
was a formal invitation. This is my heart-felt
personal stand on the issue. Please attend GNUnify.
Because once you listen to them and see the FOSS point
of view, you can always learn installation later, you
can always learn techie stuff later. You cannot get a
better opportunity for knowing what FOSS is all about
elsewhere (until perhaps, next year).

These people are the ones who live in the FOSS
world. They follow philosophy and are successful in
every sense of the term. They have money. They have
happiness and satisfaction. They have no pressures of
non-disclosure agreements which can be seen in the
glow in their faces.

This is the world of FOSS. You can see the
conviction in their behaviour and not just their
words. Imagine a world where programmers can openly
talk about what they work on. Freely discuss ideas and
share tricks. Dont have to worry about what they copy
or where they copy code to. Dont have to carefully
think on every sentense whether it violates a
non-disclosure clause. Where companies are e-mailing
code to each other on a daily basis. Where software
only grows. It draws on the strengths of a company and
hides it's weaknesses. This makes every company
stronger.

And Danese Cooper has a definite positive
hyper-boosting effect on people. Practically anyone
who talks to her for half an hour will work day and
night for the next two months on their project.

Sorry I can't be there. Preparations for
LinuxAsia are top priority currently.
